The must-do tour in the City of Lights Discover the rich heritage of Paris!
CLAUDE MONET
Monet settled in Giverny in 1883. He untiringly transformed an abandoned domaine into a floral
masterpiece, to be the inspiration for many of his greatest works of art. Monet was not only a painter of
his own garden but also an artist whose painting trips took him away for lengthy periods of time.
However, he was never really far from his garden. Through constant correspondence, he kept a close
eye on his family and his flowers. Frequent visits from his friends and admirers made Giverny the center
of his existence. Until his death in 1926, the painter, the father, the gardener and the man would never
really leave Giverny.
The D'Orsay Museum
More than 80 paintings of Monet, among the most famous, belong to the D'Orsay Museum collection.
The Museum is located in the pure center of Paris on the left bank of the Seine river.
The Orangerie Museum
The Orangerie Museum hosts the final masterpiece of Claude Monet: The Waterlilies’ wide decoration, a
set of paintings of 91 meters long.
Monet invested his last forces for more than two decades to create this "illusion of an endless whole, of
a wave with no horizon and no shore" in the words of Monet. It has no equivalent worldwide.
The Orangerie Museum is located in the heart of Paris on the Place de la Concorde.

A strong characteristic of the French people is the respect they have for their history and the restoration
of their national landmarks. The result of this preservation of the past has greatly contributed to the
beauty of Paris today.
The Musee d’Orsay’s collection includes excellent examples of French art from 1848-1914, including
many of the most significant Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings ever created. Significant and
stunning works by painters including Gauguin, Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir, Cezanne, and Van Gogh.
All of the works in the Musee d’Orsay are the product of the period 1848-1914, positioned between the
works of the neighboring Louvre Museum’s works, and the collection of the nearby Pompidou Centre.
With a diverse collection of artworks from one of the most dynamic periods of art, this airy former train
